Tax season, without the paper chase.

Your checklist, your documents, your draft return, your signature and your accountant, in one secure place. Send a W-2 from your phone, see what’s still missing, ask about any line of the return and sign it in two minutes.

  • A checklist made for your household, not a generic list
  • Every draft side by side, with what changed and why
  • E-signature with the identity check the IRS requires

What’s in the portal

Everything a tax season needs, and nothing you have to email.

How a season goes

Five steps, and you always know which one you’re on.

  1. 1January

    Answer the organizer

Tell us what changed this year; your checklist is made from it.

  2. 2As forms arrive

    Send documents

Upload each one when it comes. We check it and say so, or say what’s wrong.

  3. 3February–March

    We prepare the return

You see each draft, what changed and why, and can ask about any line.

  4. 4When it’s final

    Review and sign

Both spouses sign Form 8879 online, each with their own identity check.

  5. 5Then

    We file

You see when it was sent and when the IRS accepted it.

Security

Built for documents with Social Security numbers on them.

  • Two-step sign-in

A password and a code from your authenticator app, every time on a new device. Sessions end after 15 minutes without activity.

  • Identity check before you sign

Signing remotely, you answer questions only you can answer, as the IRS requires for e-signed 8879s. Three wrong tries and we send the form to sign by hand.

  • No attachments by email

Documents and messages stay in the portal. Email only tells you that something is waiting.

  • An audit trail

Who uploaded, viewed, accepted or signed what, and when. The signed document’s fingerprint proves it wasn’t changed afterwards.

  • Access you control

Give your bookkeeper upload-only access, or your spouse their own sign-in, and take it back in one click.

  • Kept as long as required

We keep your signed Form 8879 for three years, as the IRS requires, and your return files as long as you’re a client.

About this example

A client portal is a product, not a page.

This one has ten screens on two sides: the client’s portal and the firm’s workspace. They share one sandbox, so a document the client sends shows up in the firm’s review queue, a document the firm sends back shows up in the client’s checklist with the reason, and the return can’t be filed until both spouses have signed.

The rules live in a C# API with PostgreSQL, not in the browser: what’s still missing, whether the return can be signed, the identity answers and the lockout after three wrong tries, card and bank number checks, fees and payment plans, and the accountant’s calendar. Files never leave the browser: it reads them to check the type, pages and sharpness, and sends only a fingerprint.
